Furthermore, the game log (game history) would list moves that have been cancelled, so when quickly looking at this game log without noticing that the move they see has been cancelled, players could get false informations.
I personally find it much clearer to see only the confirmed moves.

I played 3 times iso far, with 5 different people, It was a consensus that should reduce the downtime and plan ahead the strategy if you are able to see what the players are doing in their turn.
I really think this could be an important improvement. Other thand smaller stuff, the adaptation is great and good to go Beta.

1º mag 2021 16:40 • IMHO: In a turn based game I see no problem at all.
But when I play live, it does not feel like I would play a live game. So I personally would like to see what someone does/thinks in the exact moment, the undoes of the player included.
Especially when I play with friends and we are on voice chat. So we could communicate all the single actions with another. E.g. "What a stupid move.", "Are you sure about that?" ;-)

1º giu 2021 15:01 • I totally agree: The live screen update after each player action is a very important feature.
1. It is much more entertaining when you see the moves other players do. The dontime feels shorter this way.
2. You can act faster, because you can plan your moves when following the other players in live-mode. The downtime ist reduced in fact.
3. You can follow the players action better in live than in a fast replay.
4. You can help other players when they are stucked in their moves and have issues to operate the interface.
5. If a player does moves and takes them back, you have a tactical information about his/her thoughts.
6. The live screen update is the common behaviour of all games I play at BGA. It is the "normal" behaviour of a game.
In my oppinion the live screen update is at the moment the only missing feature for my approval.

12 lug 2021 4:36 • Just played for the first time and I'm giving this an upvote as well.
One other reason which was not mentioned is that you know another player is doing something. I often play with friends online (because the pandemic cancelled in person gaming for a long time) and we're logged into discord for voice chat. We repeatedly asked each other if the person knew it was their turn because we could not see what they were doing.
As far as cancelling stuff in the game log goes, just having a line in red saying previous stuff was undone should be more than enough. This is specifically for playing live games and not turn based games where you want to see what your opponent did on their previous turn (never personally played this mode). So, perhaps in a non-realtime game you only log the real move but in a realtime game you log things as they go along and just put out a message if something is cancelled/undone.

19 lug 2021 5:26 • It's super boring to wait for your turn to come around if you can't see what other players are doing. It really reduces the fun you have with friends on video calls if you can't follow them.
It's very standard on BGA to have actions show live even when there is undo functionality. This is the first one I've seen where you can't follow.

22 lug 2021 12:07 • I support this suggestion. Sure, the game log might confuse new players but nobody is a new player for long. Seeing your opponent's moves would make the game vastly more engaging. Currently, it's like you're not even playing together.

3 set 2021 5:42 • I also think it's much easier to teach the game if you can see what everyone is doing. Each action while it is happening. I've taught the game to several people and I've had to have them describe what they did and find that they're confused. Being able to see what someone just did would make explaining things much easier.
Plus, it would involve the players more. Right now it feels more like multi-player solitaire. You have to go back and read the log to follow the game as the actions fly by.

4 set 2021 14:14 • I'm working on this at the moment, it seems to work on the Studio (it's an option for the whole table, not a user preference, it would be too complicated). It still needs more testing, and I'd like to try to strike out canceled moves' notifications, like in Kingdom Builder an Welcome to, but I don't know when I'll have time for this, if it's a lot more work. (If it's too much work, I may implement this without striking out canceled notifications.)

9 set 2021 17:09 • Was about to raise a suggestion on this very thing. It makes the downtime between moves more interesting - when playing with friends we often comment (with suggestions etc) on the move being made. Or if a player is asking for advice - its easier to do when you see hte move being made but before being committed.
