Umbrella

Overview
Gather umbrellas to form required shapes of the same colour, whilst trying to keep the least number of umbrellas in your personal waiting area at game end
Turn
First, pick an umbrella from one of the four edges (the central selection board, the right or left partially shared board, or your lower personal selection area)
Slide the Umbrella on any row/column as if from the same direction as the selection board taken from i.e. if you take from the left selection board, you will pick a row, put the new umbrella on the far left of one of those rows, then shift everything right
This will then result in the umbrella at the opposite end being pushed off which will then be placed on its closest selection pool, in the above example when picking from the left pool, the pushed umbrella will be placed on the right pool
If in a very rare case that all four selection areas surrounding you are empty at start of turn, you can take an umbrella from any selection area regardless of whether you would usually have access to it and decide how you wish to make the entry, which will then determine the exit umbrella's direction too
After which, check if any of the same colour umbrella makes any of the patterns you are trying to achieve, if you have you can cover over the same colour on one of your scoring tokens (assuming you still have that colour open, otherwise you cannot score with that pattern), then pass the pattern objective to the player on your left (note that you can only complete one pattern per turn at most, even if you qualify for several)
Game End
The game end can trigger in a number of ways
When the supply of Scoring Tokens is depleted, when a player has no Figure tiles in front of them, when a player has placed their 10th Scoring Token
All other players take one final turn, then score as follows
- 2VP per scoring token placed
- 1VP Lost per Umbrella in their personal (lower) waiting area
- 2VP if their personal (lower) waiting area is empty
- Variable VP based on the scoreboards (see below)
The player with the most points, wins!
If tied, the player with the fewest umbrellas in their personal (lower) waiting area wins!
Scoreboards
Scoreboards vary based on the chosen level, and award VP at the end of the game.
Level 1 and 2 scoreboards simply reward the number of points indicated above each group, with Level 2 boards varying in that they have fewer groups but also multi-colour slots
Level 3 and 4 scoreboards rewards points based on groups of adjacent scoring tokens:
- For each group of 2 tokens, you score 3 VP
- For each group of 3 tokens, you score 5 VP
- For each group of 4 tokens, you score 8 VP
To score the white square objectives, you must complete a figure tile placed in the same orientation as the indicated * symbol.
Powers
Level 4 scoreboards also contain Powers: to activate them, you need to place scoring tokens on the objectives on either side of them.
- Paired circular arrows allow you to take an extra turn.
- Paired straight arrows allow you to swap an orthogonally adjacent umbrella on your board
- Single circular arrows allow you to swap an umbrella between your board and any waiting area
