The two cards that were presented at the start of the game only occurs at the start and any cards played after that should always appear on the deck.
If somehow the card was not revealed on the deck, try refreshing the page.
What would make it more clear for you that the card in the deck should be played?
For example by changing ""you should play your first card" to ""you should play your first card drawn from the deck"?
