gameui.onBtnConfirm() doesn't fire on small screens. But, if I manually call that through the console then the code in that method runs.
My guess is that it's #board...
Yup. That's pretty clearly the problem. Definitely not a browser bug. I'm going to re-open this as a new ticket with more specific details and screenshots.
