I played with a firend and we had the same error
I used google chrome

I often have the same problem and I am playing on my phone using the Chrome browser app. Instead of seeing the initial distribution of money pop-up window, I am immediately taken to the main board game screen. I have to refresh my browser window to have the pop-up appear.

I could not accept the money, and F5 did not work either, I had to abandon the game

Happens frequently. Maybe 1/3 of games, regardless of number of players.
It's very disconcerting for new players. The message that players must accept money makes no sense when someone is seeing their money and no button to accept. It's not at all obvious that a pop-up screen has failed to be presented at all, so players sit confused with their time running out.

This happened to me on my first game. I was so confused clicking everywhere I could think of to "accept initial money". I am on a MacBook Pro using Safari.

I played in Chrome. I've also made a separate ticket since F5 didn't work for me (in two tries--we abandoned the game and did a rematch, but it still didn't work). I had played one other time: the window for accepting the money worked that time, but then we all quit because another player timed out on that step. (The player also took a long time to click Accept to start the game, so maybe it was an internet issue or a real-life interruption--either way, though, every game I've played has ended because someone stopped on this step!

I will add that in the game where one player timed out (mentioned above), three of us were beginners.

F5 or refresh in browser worked fine, but it is a reccurent problem

Closing this report since that was about previous version and new version has a lot of changes on this part.
