The token colors match the two colors available in the physical board game. I feel like most BGA games don’t add extra token colors to the adaptations but I could be wrong. I also think it would be confusing to have player colors that don’t match that player’s tokens and I think most games on here only offer the colors that match the player tokens (for games where a player is assigned colored tokens). I did originally plan to make the pink or blue selection based on BGA color preferences but ran into an issue implementing that and ended up disabling color preference selection for this game. I can look into that again if people think choosing between pink or blue is important.

Not a huge problem and overriding the game's physical colours should not be done (e.g. Connect 4), though for Premium users it would be nice if blue or pink were chosen if they are in their preferences.

I do believe some games do this (assuming there is no first mover advantage), but I don't know how hard it is to implement.

Lots of games stray off-colour. For example, in 'real' Kingdom builder the colours are white/black/something/something/something but you can basically be any colour.

Is there no-one at BGA you can ask about this policy?

Report closed automatically because it has not been upvoted or commented for a while.

Your bug has probably been fixed already, or was linked to a temporary failure of BGA service.

In any case, when filling a bug report, make sure to have an explicit title linked to the incident (ex: with error message), so other players can recognize it and vote for it.
