As we did last month, we'd like to introduce some recent changes on BGA.
3D
3D has been introduced 3 weeks ago on BGA. To activate it, you must click on "3D" button on top right during a game :
We want to be very clear about this: we consider that 2D view is better to play online. Please tell us if you think different, but we didn't find a situation where it's more practical to play in 3D. However, we are definitely considering using 3D effects on games from time to time, just for the "eye candy" thing.
Most games are not optimized for 3D at now, so sometimes it looks a little bit weird, but most of the time it's fine and allow us to communicate better on our service. Beside all of this, this is very important for BGA to show everyone (especially, game publishers) that we are capable of having a game in 3D here.
Don't hesitate to give us a feedback on this!
New friends feature
With this new icon on top right, you cannot miss a friend who is online when you are 🙂
This new feature is associated to a new Invite a friend button when you create a new table. This way you can invite a friend very fast at your table.
Soon, we will introduce another additional feature for those who like to play with specific players.
Group list
From Community page, there is now a link to list all BGA groups.
Game lobby interface
The simple lobby design change a lot and will continue to change during the following months.
It's a quite powerful tool now that you are using more and more. It allows you to check your ELO from the lobby page + to wait for different realtime games at the same time, which is pretty cool. Please don't hesitate to give us your feedback about it.
Reputation system change
We slightly changed the reputation system:
_ Now you get a double penalty for leaving a game (-20) if you quit 2 games within 1 week (it was 1 month before). This change ensure that we focus the big penalties on players who really abuse of the system, and are more tolerant with the others.
_ When your reputation is really really low, you get more than +1 when you finish a game without any issue. This way, we'd like to encourage players with very low reputation to recover from this situation.
Game interface small changes
By clicking on players names during a game, you can now access their profile.
Some of you asked us to disable the "Turn based personal notes" popup auto showing when loading a turn based game. We consider that if you take some notes during a turn based game, then you'd like to have it back as soon as you get back to this game, but some of you complained about this. For this reason we'd like to experiment the "non-automatic popup" for a while. Please tell us what you think of this.
Finally, we slightly changed the "Go to next table" button, because a lot of you complained that they were clicking on this button by mistake. We hope that the new design will fix this.

3D, gruppi lista, popup sugli amici, reputazione...
Come abbiamo fatto il mese scorso, vorremmo introdurre alcune modifiche recenti su BGA.
3D
Il 3D è stato introdotto 3 settimane fa su BGA.
Per attivarlo, è necessario fare clic sul pulsante "3D" in alto a destra durante la partita:
Vogliamo essere molto chiari su questo: crediamo che la visuale 2D sia meglio per giocare online.
Diteci se la pensate diversamente, ma non abbiamo trovato una situazione dove è più pratico giocare in 3D.
Tuttavia, stiamo valutando l'utilizzo degli effetti 3D sui giochi di volta in volta, giusto come "delizia per gli occhi".
La maggior parte dei giochi non sono ottimizzati per il 3D in questo momento, quindi a volte sembra un po' strano, ma il più delle volte va bene e ci permettono di comunicare meglio il nostro servizio.
A parte questo, è molto importante per BGA mostrare a tutti (soprattutto agli editori di giochi) che qui siamo in grado di avere un gioco in 3D.

Nuova funzione degli amici
Con questa nuova icona in alto a destra, non può sfuggirti un amico online quando lo sei anche tu.
Questa nuova funzionalità è associata ad un nuovo pulsante invita un amico quando si crea un nuovo tavolo.
In questo modo è possibile invitare un amico al vostro tavolo molto velocemente.
Presto, vi presenteremo un'altra caratteristica aggiuntiva per coloro che amano giocare con giocatori specifici.
Gruppi lista
Dalla Pagina della Community, c'è ora un collegamento per elencare tutti i gruppi di BGA.
Interfaccia della lobby di gioco
Il design della lobby semplice cambia parecchio e continuerà a cambiare durante i prossimi mesi.
È uno strumento abbastanza potente ora che lo state utilizzando sempre più.
Vi permette di controllare il vostro ELO dalla pagina di benvenuto e aspettare per diverse partite in tempo reale allo stesso tempo, il che è piuttosto fico.
Non esitate a darci il vostro feedback a riguardo.
Cambiamento del sistema di reputazione
Abbiamo leggermente modificato il sistema di reputazione:
_ Ora si ottiene una duplice sanzione per aver lasciato un gioco (-20) se si abbandonano 2 partite in 1 settimana (prima era in 1 mese).
Questo cambiamento garantisce di concentrare le sanzioni maggiori sui giocatori che davvero abusano del sistema e di essere più tolleranti con gli altri.
_ Quando la reputazione è davvero molto bassa, si ottiene più di +1 quando si conclude una partita senza alcun problema.
In questo modo, vorremmo incoraggiare i giocatori con una reputazione molto bassa a risolvere questa situazione.
Piccoli cambiamenti nell'interfaccia di gioco
Cliccando sui nomi dei giocatori durante una partita, è ora possibile accedere al loro profilo.
Alcuni di voi ci hanno chiesto di disattivare il popup "Note personali sulle partite a turni" che si palesano durante il caricamento di una partita a turni.
Riteniamo che se voi prendeste alcuni appunti durante una partita a turni, allora desiderereste riaverli al più presto non appena tornerete alla stessa, ma alcuni di voi si sono lamentati di questa cosa.
Per questo motivo vorremmo sperimentare il "popup non automatico" per un po'.
Fateci sapere cosa ne pensate.
Infine, abbiamo cambiato leggermente il pulsante "Vai al tavolo successivo", perché molti di voi si sono lamentati di cliccare questo pulsante per errore.
Ci auguriamo che il nuovo design risolva questo problema.
