No intel. No blueprints. Just a dropship, kind of a map, and a mission briefing that boils down to "kill the Queen and hope you're still human when it's over." Nemesis: Retaliation delivers on every word of that.
You play a squad of marines sent into a Facility crawling with alien horrors. Sounds cooperative, right? Well, it isn't… not really. Everyone's got a shared Mission Task, sure, but you're also secretly holding a Private Objective, and that hidden agenda might mean leaving a teammate behind, or worse, sabotaging the whole plan for a payday. This is a game where the person watching your back might also be quietly hoping you don't make it back to the shuttle.
Each turn, you get 2 Actions. You can move, shoot, search, patch a wound, whatever keeps you breathing. Move through unexplored corridors and you flip new rooms into existence, building the Facility as you go, never knowing what's behind the next door. Make noise, and something might hear you. Roll badly, and a creature crawls out of the dark and into your face.
Combat is tense rather than tactical; bullets don't guarantee kills. Fire spreads. Oxygen runs out. And that little Larva bite you shrugged off? It might be quietly turning you into something else entirely, something you won't find out about until it's far too late.
Trust is the real currency in Nemesis: Retaliation, and it runs out fast. You'll share ammo with someone one turn and wonder if they're planning to leave you behind the next. Every promise made over comms could be true, or just enough to keep you moving toward someone else's goal. By the end, the scariest thing in the Facility might not be the Queen at all, it's realizing you never really know who is on your side.

We would like to thank Adam Kwapiński, the game creator, and Awaken Realms, the publisher, for this opportunity to let aliens infest our platform. And our thanks also go to Tisaac and KuWizard for surviving waves of horrors long enough to deliver this BGA port.
This was your Wednesday release.
In the end, there is one thing you must do above all: survive. Take care and play fair…
Sembra collaborativo, giusto?

Statemi bene e giocate lealmente…
